Indications of Labcal D Tablet
This medication is used to treat osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and parathyroid disease. Calcium supplements are frequently used to ensure adequate dietary intake in conditions such as pregnancy and lactation, osteogenesis and tooth formation (as a supplement to definite treatment), and anti-seizure medication therapy. In chronic renal failure, it is also used as a routine supplement and phosphate binder.
Pharmacology of Labcal D Tablet
This is a calcium carbonate and vitamin D3 preparation (cholecalciferol). Calcium is required for many normal bodily functions, particularly bone formation, and maintenance. Calcium absorption and reabsorption are aided by vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 promotes bone formation as well. Calcium and vitamin D3 work together to promote bone growth and prevent osteoporosis and fractures, according to clinical studies.
